Website Terms of Use
Effective Date: 23-Jan-2023
Last Updated: 08-May-2026
Plain-language summary: These Terms of Use are the rules for using the techfleet.network website. By using the site, you agree to follow these rules. They cover what you can and cannot do, who owns the content, and what happens if there is a problem.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Tech Fleet, a Delaware nonprofit corporation (“Tech Fleet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using techfleet.network, techfleet.org, guide.techfleet.org, and any related pages, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Who May Use the Platform
You may use the Platform only if you are at least 18 years old, or at least 13 years old with the consent of a parent or legal guardian and any other approval required by your country’s law. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that all information you give us is true and complete.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and your password safe. Do not share your account with anyone. Tell us right away if you think your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or close any account that is used in a way that breaks these Terms or the law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Break any law or regulation, or violate the rights of others.
Try to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems.
Upload, post, or share content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
Use the Platform to send spam, phishing messages, or chain letters.
Introduce viruses, worms, ransomware, or any other malicious code.
Scrape, copy, or republish large parts of the Platform without our written permission.
Use bots, automated tools, or AI agents to abuse, overwhelm, or reverse-engineer the Platform.
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, including impersonating Tech Fleet staff or other users.
Interfere with security features, rate limits, or access controls.
Use the Platform in any way that violates U.S. or international export, sanctions, or anti-corruption laws.
5. Intellectual Property
All Platform content — software, designs, text, graphics, logos, videos, and curriculum materials — is owned by Tech Fleet or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. You do not get any other rights.
“Tech Fleet” and the Tech Fleet logo are trademarks of Tech Fleet. You may not use them without our written permission.
6. Your Content
If you upload, submit, or post content (“Your Content”), you keep ownership of it. You grant Tech Fleet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, and use Your Content as needed to operate, improve, and promote the Platform and our nonprofit mission, and to comply with the law. You confirm that you have the right to grant this license.
7. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, you agree that we may use them without any obligation to you and without payment.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The Platform may link to or integrate with third-party services (such as Google, Discord, YouTube, Calendly, Stripe, and others). We are not responsible for those services. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Beta Features and AI Tools
Some features may be marked as “beta,” “preview,” or “experimental,” including AI-assisted tools such as our chatbot “Fleety.” These features are provided as-is, may change without notice, and may produce inaccurate or incomplete results. Do not rely on AI outputs for legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.
10. Service Changes and Availability
We may add, change, suspend, or remove parts of the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We aim for high availability but do not promise that the Platform will always be available, on time, secure, or error-free.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time and delete your account from your account settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we are required by law, or if continued access creates a risk to other users or our systems. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TECH FLEET DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. SOME COUNTRIES AND U.S. STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THESE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TECH FLEET, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE PLATFORM IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW (INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE).
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tech Fleet and its team from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Tech Fleet consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, or another country with mandatory consumer protections, nothing in this section removes your right to bring a case in your local courts or to benefit from mandatory local consumer rights.
16. Accessibility
We design the Platform to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA and progress toward WCAG 3.0 standards. If you have trouble using the Platform because of a disability, contact info@techfleet.network and we will do our best to help.
17. Export Controls and Sanctions
You may not use the Platform if you are in a country or are a person subject to U.S. or other applicable embargoes or sanctions, or if you appear on a U.S. or international restricted-party list. You agree to follow all applicable export control and sanctions laws.
18. Notices and Electronic Communications
We may send notices to you by email, by posting on the Platform, or by any other reasonable method. You agree to receive electronic communications from us and that they meet any legal requirement for written notice.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may change these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the new version on the Platform and update the Effective Date. If the law requires, we will notify you and ask for consent before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the change means you accept the new Terms.
20. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Tech Fleet about the Platform. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or reorganization.
